United Way of Northeastern Minnesota is seeking a college student, preferably a junior or senior, to work with our leadership team to conceptualize and create content for multiple outlets including print and digital. This internship is especially intended for individuals with a working knowledge of video production who want to take their skills to the next level. Start and end dates are flexible, as are working hours throughout the week, based on student's school schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create promotional videos (including pre and post production)
- Capture b-roll and photos of people and programs
- Distribute program and event flyers across the region
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media posts
- Manage inventory of promotional materials
- Maintain branding
- Understand and uphold UWNEMN's mission
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year educational program studying media arts, digital media, design, communications, journalism, video production, or related fields
- Must be willing and able to commute to UWNEMN's Chisholm office and travel throughout region
- Proficient with video equipment and editing software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and technologically savvy
- Ability to follow directions and receive and implement feedback
- Ability to manage time, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines
COMPENSATION:
This is a non-benefited paid position, approximately 20 hours/week with some travel required; non-commute mileage is reimbursed.
