LIVE UNITED Crisis Fund
United Way of Northeastern Minnesota proudly supports the mining industry. Its employees have been the largest contributors to keep the work of our organization going for 50 years. During this current downturn in the steel industry, United Way of Northeastern Minnesota is there to help displaced workers and families. To help those most in need, United Way of Northeastern Minnesota has set up the LIVE UNITED Crisis Fund.
United Way of Northeastern Minnesota has experienced and survived several major economic setbacks in the mining industry, during which we helped affected families make it through. The current types of layoffs we are experiencing will cause a major loss of revenue for United Way at a time when the needs will be the highest.
Mining company employees have long been generous supporters of United Way and our work to improve the lives of those in crisis in the region. If you are interested in supporting the Iron Range and the LIVE UNITED Crisis Fund, please CLICK HERE to make a donation.
