Youth mental health has long been a targeted issue in United Way of Northeastern Minnesota's investment plan. Over the course of the 2022-2023 school year, seeking to play a larger role in improving mental wellbeing for our future generation, we worked with Wilder Research to survey and interview school staff, parents and guardians, and - most importantly - students themselves across our service area to identify which actions would be most meaningful.
UWNEMN's Board of Directors is now taking a close look at the resulting assessment to determine which actions we will take, and we hope the assessment will be of help to our many partners working to address this critical need as well.
