UWNEMN is pulling together a COVID-19 Crisis Fund to help support local agencies that are providing immediate assistance to those impacted by this pandemic as well as our Buddy Backpacks and United for Veterans programs which are directly assisting those in need.
The post you may have seen regarding a fund to help individuals is specific to residents of Indianapolis. UWNEMN does not have the financial resources to provide emergency funds to individuals. Instead, we are doing our best to keep those in need connected with local resources to provide help, and donations to the UWNEMN COVID-19 Crisis Fund will support local agencies that are increasing efforts to assist individuals in our region.
Please share our UWNEMN COVID-19 resource page with anyone you know in need. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 2-1-1, text your zip code to 898-211*, or visit www.211unitedway.org to get connected with a United Way representative in our state who can connect you with local resources that fit your needs.
UWNEMN remains committed to doing what we can locally to empower healthy lives, help children succeed, and stabilize lives with the limited resources we have available at this time.
